Includes two letters written to Mrs. John Holcombe (Emily Seymour Goodwin) from Luke Vincent Lockwood, a New York attorney, regarding architectural details; lists of expenses; draft of a report by Mrs. Holcombe; room-by-room inventories of items placed in the house; and a notebook with historical and genealogical notes. A piece of green silk may be found inside the cover of the notebook.
